Kohler Credit Union Offers New and Unique Savings Opportunity: Savers Sweepstakes
KOHLER, Wis. – Saver’s Sweepstakes® is a new prize-linked savings account now available at Kohler Credit Union. Saver’s Sweepstakes offers prize drawing entries in return for each time members increase their savings balance by $25, up to 6 entries per month. Prize drawings occur monthly, quarterly and annually with a grand prize up to $5,000.
The Saver’s Sweepstakes account at Kohler Credit Union is designed to help members improve saving habits in a whole new way that actually makes saving fun. Members feel rewarded by watching their savings grow, and experience the excitement of a chance to win the prize drawings. And unlike playing the lottery, nothing is lost with Saver’s Sweepstakes. All of the money deposited into the account, plus interest, is the member’s to keep.
Americans still lack savings despite improvements in the economy. According to a recent Bankrate’s Financial Security Index Survey, 6 in 10 Americans don't have enough set aside to cover a $500 unplanned expense, and a quarter of Americans have no emergency savings at all.
“Providing our members with a new way to save money and improve their financial well-being aligns with our values as an organization. Savers Sweepstakes is intended to encourage positive saving behaviors that will impact our members’ livelihood now and into the future,” said Laura Gabrielse, senior vice president of communications and community development.
