Deniss Makejenko Named Chief Lending Officer at Kohler Credit Union

Kohler Credit Union is proud to announce the appointment of Deniss Makejenko to Chief Lending Officer. In his new role, Makejenko will lead the credit union’s lending strategy and operations, with a strong commitment to meeting our members’ financial needs and supporting them throughout every stage of life.

“I am honored to take on the role of Chief Lending Officer at Kohler Credit Union,” says Makejenko. “Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about serving members and building strong, capable teams. In this new position, I will focus on bringing a service-first mindset to our sales approach and developing our team into a best-in-class sales organization that delivers consistent value to our members.”

Makejenko joined Kohler Credit Union in 2021 as Senior Vice President of Branch Operations and has been instrumental in promoting a culture centered on development, collaboration, and action. Most recently, he served as Chief Retail Officer, where his leadership played a key role in enhancing member service and elevating team engagement across the organization. 

Makejenko holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater and an MBA from Marquette University. Earlier this year, he earned the designation of Certified Chief Executive (CCE) after completing a rigorous three-year program, underscoring his commitment to professional excellence in the credit union industry.
